Rev John D. Anderson is a retired Methodist minister, who is one of the team of four Ecumenical officers who encourage ecumenical relationship across the Northampton Methodist District. John is primarily concerned for Oxfordshire and the part of Gloucestershire that lies within the District.
He was raised in the Presbyterian Church of England which became the United Reformed Church in 1972. Since leaving home his spiritual journey has taken him through many denominations and church traditions culminating with his becoming a Methodist local preacher in the Leicester Trinity Circuit, being a member of Christchurch, a Baptist/Methodist Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP).
In over 15 years of being a Methodist minister John has always been involved in ecumenical activities either as a minister of an LEP or as part of ecumenical groups at local or county level.
